Anubhav Gupta's Story

Anubhav Gupta, founder of Jeevan Trust, is a passionate social worker who transitioned from a successful media career to dedicate his life to social impact. Starting with PVR NEST, he developed school programs on environmental awareness and HIV advocacy, which inspired him to use media as a force for social good. In 2010, he founded Jeevan Trust to bridge the gap between social causes and public awareness, focusing initially on albinism awareness after a personal encounter with a young girl with albinism.

Jeevan Trust works to dispel misconceptions about albinism, helping over 300 community members across India. The organization holds workshops in schools to foster inclusivity and in media institutions to ensure accurate reporting. Jeevan Trust also provides counseling, support services, and resources for individuals with albinism, promoting self-advocacy and resilience within the community.

A significant partner in Jeevan Trust is Sameer Garg, the Vice President, who has contributed immensely to community outreach. Together, they expanded Jeevan Trust’s reach internationally, receiving recognition from the United Nations. Jeevan Trust’s work extends to other genetic conditions, with plans to create materials and support networks for conditions like muscular dystrophy and Asperger’s syndrome.

Anubhav’s vision is to foster a society where people with genetic conditions are fully understood, respected, and supported. His commitment to Jeevan Trust’s impactful work continues to pave the way for greater awareness, inclusion, and equality.
